After two successful craft challenges, we are filled with confidence for our new challenge. So here we are announcing the next and the third IndyaKaleidoscope Craft Challenge – September 2012.
What is the Sep ’12 Challenge about?
Registered Crafters will have to work their craft around a theme that will be announced on 10th September 2012. Crafters will get three weeks to execute their craft. You will have to submit your crafts at the IndyaKaleidoscope office (physically or couriered) before 1st October 2012.
Who will judge?
IndyaKaleidoscope will put togather a panel of judges(each month there will be different set of judges). An equal number of both types of people. Craft and design challenged people who do not understand the complexities of Art and Craft and avid crafters, lovers of all things handmade. The judges will come to the IndyaKaleidoscope office and judge it on parameters like asthetics, desire to buy, uniqueness, etc, on a scale of 1 to 5.
The crafts will be shared on facebook, but won’t be judged there.
How many winners?
The scores will be totaled and the top two scorers will be declared winners. A winner and a runner up for the first IndyaKaleidoscope Craft Challenge.
The Prize?
(This is our most favorite part)
The winner will get to choose one of the two
1. A 1500/- worth goodie bag from IndyaKaleidoscope
or
2. An opportunity to display and sell your craft at the IndyaKaleidoscope store for One whole month. (No rent, no commission and no conditions apply. IndyaKaleidoscope will promote your products just as we promote ours for the time period) & A chance to get an insight into the experience of Indyakaleidoscope in terms of pricing, market analysis, customer consumption trends, Etc.
The runner up also gets to choose from these two:
1. A 1000/- worth goodie bag from IndyaKaleidoscope
or
2. An opportunity to display and sell your craft at the IndyaKaleidoscope store for 15 days.(No rent, no commission and no conditions apply. IndyaKaleidoscope will promote your products just as we promote ours for the time period)
Conditions if any?
Only natural raw material to be used. No synthetics.
The raw material will have to be within the budget of Rs.300/-. All participants will have to send in a write up of less than 100 words about their creation and how much they spent for the raw material.
If the judges deem it to be a product that is purchased, it will be disqualified from the challenge.
Who can register?
Crafters from anywhere in India. Register only if you will make the crafts on your own.
