The Puja Day – 14-12-2011

Now that I am a feeling a little less anxious (have pushed all the fears in one corner and Im pretending All iz Well) a quick peak into what really happened :) Well, it all happened so quickly that Im still wondering what hit me.

I found this lovely house in a quite and central location of Koramangala Bangalore on the last day (3oth Nov) of the deadline I had kept for finding a place. Thank GoD! It was far from lovely when I saw it, but when I looked though the mess and the sorry state that it was in, it looked like a place to be. So the search came to an end :)

Scene 2: Entry Mom – Drops a bomb! Open before 15th Dec or after 15th Jan.

Doing things at a relaxed pace meant losing a month. So here I was trying to get this place up for existence in less than 15 days. The interior and exterior had to be painted, plumbing to be fixed, water and electricity bills to be settled, electric fittings to be checked. Thanks to the previous tenants, they did not miss any opportunity to make life miserable for the next one. But thanks to the owner and my persistent effort (Man! I can be a real pain at times :D ) we had the house looking good by 14th to do a quick puja and kick start.

There’s my little Handpainted board and the framed registration certificate getting the special attention.

Mum n Me :) Flowers in my hair, So South Indian :) There is something about these religious events, makes me a different person.

Finally, me holding the Aarti Tatte (Thali). So happy with the smooth flow of the event.

More updates coming up on the drama that unfolded during the days that followed.
